Welcome

Hi Folks
I'm Eileen and I'm the peer leader for Point-Shoot-Edit. Thank you for signing up for the class. This semester we have an unusual schedule...March 1, 2, 8, 9 and 22. So we get to see each other 2 times a week for the first 2 weeks and then after a week of vacation, we have our last class meeting on March 22.

Between now and when the class starts get your camera and computer equipment ready. I will be using my Canon Point and Shoot cameras as well as my iPhone along with my MacBookPro and iPadPro. The class is aimed at folks who want to take good pictures with their little camera. Along the way you will learn a lot about photo composition as well as few photo/camera tricks. (PS...not one piece of my equipment is brand new...so don't go out and buy stuff...use what you have.)

To make the class work for you, you will need a way to send me photos so I can post them on this blog. I will tell you the topic and your job will be to take pictures on that topic. You can also use pictures you have already taken. Here's a picture I took on the Amazon River in November--it's a good portrait of a bird taken on the "fly" from a moving skiff. It's always a treat to get a "good" picture in a "bad" situation.

During the five sessions we are together we will learn how to take those "good" pictures in "bad" settings. Are you ready?

Take care my friends
Eileen
